The band's early releases included the demo Lethargy (1989) and The Festering (1990), which garnered attention and built a fanbase. In 1991, Dead Head released their debut album The Feast Begins at Dawn, followed by Dream Deceiver in 1993. The band toured extensively across Europe and Scandinavia, collaborating with acts like Carcass and Sadus. Subsequent albums include Kill Division (1999), Haatland (2005), and Depression Tank (2009).
