Manuel Tur is a German musician, label founder, and DJ born in 1986 in Essen. He produced music in the house and electro genres, incorporating elements of deep house, funk, and French house. In 2002, he released his debut studio recording, Caissa / Italo Fake, on the label Mada Music. Tur utilized pseudonyms such as Arcade Mode, Blackbird, Jermaine Jones, and Tweeq. He founded the label Smokestack Recordings in 2006 and released the recording “The Soulkraut EP”. His discography included collaborations such as Knabberbox with Patrick Alavi and the duo Manuel Tur & Dplay. Tur released the single “Your Love” (2003) under the name Arcade Mode and the recording “Only Thing EP” (2005) as Blackbird. He was influenced by the work of Ian Pooley and Sébastien Léger.
