Lerato Bonile, known by his stage name Dereal Bonile, is a talented DJ and music producer from Wesselsbron, now living in Welkom, Free State, South Africa. He was born on 8 January and started his music career in September 2021, inspired by Djy Zan SA and Djy Biza’s Black Is Brown Compilation Vol. 1.
Dereal creates music in Amapiano, as well as Hip-Hop and House Music. Even though he used to play soccer, his love for music led him to follow a new path. He released his first EP, My Journey Begins, on 17 March 2023.
His big break came in December 2023 with the song Ka Lezaza, featuring Ishuu Industry and Stebas707. Dereal has performed at big events like Matjhabeng Summer Blow (MSB) and Social Connect, showing off his strong DJ skills. He won the Best Upcoming Artist 2024 Award in Wesselsbron.
Dereal has a growing fan base, with over 65,000 followers on Facebook and 30,000 on TikTok. He’s still working hard to get more recognition and wants to make a big name for himself in the music world. He says, "I still need recognition because I'm not in the game yet, but if I get a chance, trust me, I'm going to kill this."
