9 Lazy 9 are an Italian electronic music ensemble from Rome that formed in 1992. The group consists of Keir Fraserello, James Braddell (also known as Giacomo Braddellini or Funki Porcini), Gianluca Petrella, Mishael Levron, Manù Bandettini, and Adriano Tirelli and are famous for their acid jazz and downtempo sound and for their recordings on the label Ninja Tune. They achieved professional recognition in 1993 with the release of their debut single “Take Nine”. Their discography includes the studio recordings Paradise Blown (1994), Electric Lazyland (1994), and The Herb (1995). Following a hiatus, they released the studio recording Sweet Jones (2003) on Ninja Tune. The group has since self-released the studio recordings Bedsofaland (2009), Serpentine (2022), and Jam 9 (2024). They have produced remixes for artists including Cybophonia and released the studio recording Tormentone in 2026.
