Daniel Whiddett, known professionally as Danny Breaks, is a British drum and bass DJ, record producer, and record label owner. He began his music career under the alias Sonz of a Loop Da Loop Era during the early 1990s, releasing tracks on Suburban Base and achieving a top 40 hit on the UK Singles Chart with "Far Out" in 1991. In 1994, Whiddett established his own imprint, Droppin' Science, and began releasing music as Danny Breaks, evolving from breakbeat hardcore into jungle and drum and bass. Notable releases under this alias include Another Dimension (2003), The Outer Dimension (2005), and Beat Tape Schitt (2014). He also released records with labels such as True Playaz and Moving Shadow, and recorded under various names including D. Whiddett, Droppin' Science, and Safari Sounds. The Droppin' Science label became inactive in 2002, after which Whiddett focused on more experimental material through Alphabet Zoo.
