Bernadya Ribka Jayakusuma, known mononymously as Bernadya, was born on March 16, 2004, in Indonesia. She began her career by auditioning for The Voice Kids Indonesia in 2016, performing Adele's "One and Only" and joining Team Tulus. In 2018, Bernadya formed a duo with her sister Celine called Celine & Nadya, releasing their debut single "Lugu" and later the album Love, Youth, You, Ch. 1 in 2021. In 2022, they released their last single "Sadar" before going on hiatus. Bernadya signed with Juni Records that same year and released her debut solo single "Apa Mungkin". In June 2023, she released her debut extended play Terlintas, which included the sleeper hit "Satu Bulan" that topped both the Indonesian ASIRI and Billboard charts. Bernadya received a nomination for Best New Artist at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia 2023. In November 2023, it was announced that Bernadya was working on her debut album Sialnya, Hidup Harus Tetap Berjalan, which was released in June 2024. The album is a concept piece following three phases of going through a breakup: heartbreak, self-doubt, and realization.
