Stefan Heidtmann, born in 1958 in Bergneustadt, Germany, is a German musician known for his contributions to jazz. Heidtmann studied music and piano at the Musikhochschule Köln from 1976 to 1984. His career began with projects blending contemporary chamber music with avant-garde jazz, collaborating with artists like Gerd Dudek and Roger Hanschel. Notable releases include Ambivalence (2000) and Piano Duet (2001) with Christoph Spendel. Heidtmann won the Kölner Jazz Art Festival in 2002 with his project band and received the Kulturförderpreis des Oberbergischen Kreises in 2011. His tours spanned Europe, Asia, and Latin America.
