Marco Carta, born May 21, 1985, in Cagliari, Sardinia, is an Italian singer. He rose to prominence after winning the talent show Amici di Maria De Filippi in April 2008 with 75% of the public vote, securing a €300,000 prize and a contract with Warner Music Italy. His debut single "Ti rincontrerò" was released that year, followed by his first album of the same name, which debuted at number three on the Italian charts and achieved platinum status. In February 2009, Carta won the Sanremo Music Festival with the song "La forza mia", further propelling his career. His subsequent albums include Il cuore muove (2010) and Necessità lunatica (2012), both of which reached number 2 on the Italian charts. Throughout his career, Carta has sold over 245,000 albums and 60,000 singles, earning multiple awards, including Wind Music Awards and TRL Awards.
