Steakknife, a German punk/hardcore band from Saarbrücken, was formed in 1989 as Ankry Simons by Lee Hollis and Lorenzo Stiletti. Initially a tribute to the American punk rock group Angry Samoans, Steakknife released their first EP, Gotcha!, under X-Mist Records in 1990. The band's debut album, God Pill, was recorded in late 1994 and released in 1995 following a name change to Steakknife. Notable releases include "My home is the Gutter" (1995) and "The Day Larry Talked" (1995). The band's lineup evolved over time, with Hollis and Stiletti remaining consistent members. Their second album, Songs Men Have Died For, was released in 1997, followed by Plugged into the Amp of God in 2000 on Noisolution Records. In 2007, Steakknife released Parallel Universe of the Dead, and their fifth album, One Eyed Bomb, came out in 2015.
