Keegan is a German Rock, Indie, and Pop group from Cologne, formed in 2000. The group was founded by the vocalist Ian Maxwell and the guitarist Massimo Peter-Bille, who named the project after the English footballer Kevin Keegan. The lineup also includes the guitarist Jochen Rohde, the bassist Andre' Taddicken, and the drummer Andreas Plappert. The group released its debut EP, Melody, in 2003 through Abaco Records. Subsequent studio albums include Looking Out for Number 1 (2008), Keeping the Sparks (2011), Underdogs Are Go (2014), and Famous Last Words (2016). In 2018, the project issued the album An Itch You Can't Scratch, which featured the singles “Two Wrongs” and “Famous Last Words”. Other releases include the singles “Poison” and “Shut Up and Dance”. The group's final recording, Daylight Robbery, was released in 2022. Maxwell died on July 15, 2022.
