Feindrehstar, a German band from Jena, was formed in 1997 by Friedemann Ziepert on drums, Kalle Mille on trumpet, Steffen Landeck on bass, DJ Légères as the DJ, and Metaboman on vocals. Initially playing live hip-hop, the group transitioned to instrumental dance music after Metaboman's departure. Their debut album Madame Jackson was released in 2000 under Human Instinct. In 2010, Feindrehstar released their second album, Vulgarian Knights, through Musik Krause and Freude am Tanzen. The band released Love & Hoppiness in 2015 on the same label. They were awarded the Creole Weltmusikpreis Mitteldeutschland in 2008.
