Roberto Torres is a chilean singer and songwriter. He plays popular guitar, classical piano, accordion and electric bass. Passionate about Latin American Andean music and its instruments, he also plays the charango, quena and zampoñas with virtuosity. More recently, Roberto has become interested in traditional Colombian Caribbean music of Gaita and Bullerengue through his doctoral studies, which has led him to live in the region and influenced his music.
He has been pursuing his artistic career as a solo artist, performing in Chile, Colombia and Europe, mainly in Switzerland, Germany and Belgium. Since 2017, he is based between Chile and Switzerland, where he has developed various artistic performances aimed at bringing together a wide range of artists. His first album, titled " 13 Flores", was released at the beginning of July 2022.
Roberto also works as a composer for audiovisual media and theater. In 2016, his musical composition for the film "Tila, Fragmentos de un psicópata" was nominated in the category "Best Chilean Film Music", awarded by the International Film Festival of Viña del Mar (FICVIÑA).
