Kids of Adelaide, a German indie-folk duo consisting of songwriters Benjamin Jonathan Nolle and Severin Aurel Specht, was formed in 2010. Initially gaining traction as street musicians, the duo secured their first significant opportunities through a record deal with Green Elephant Records and a series of opening slots for artists such as Jamie Cullum and Robert Plant. This led to their debut album Home, released in 2012, which received airplay on stations like Puls and Radio Fritz. In 2013, Kids of Adelaide embarked on their first headlining tour across Germany. Subsequent albums include Byrth (2014) and Black Hat and Feather (2016), both released under Green Elephant Records. They also notably performed at notable venues the Open Air St. Gallen in Switzerland. In 2018, the duo released their most experimental album to date, Into the Less, via Snowy Mountain Music and Cargo Records. Their fifth studio album, The Cabin Tapes, was published by Handpicked Records in 2022.
