Métissé, a French band formed in 1994 in Toulouse, was composed of Aïda Bredou, a young singer born in Côte d'Ivoire, and Skully, a music producer. The duo's breakthrough came when Skully discovered Aïda Bredou performing at various venues and decided to produce her debut album. In 1999, Métissé traveled to London to record their first album My Fault, released in 2000. This album featured the hit single "Sousoundé", which became the theme song for the 2004 film Lila dit ça. Another notable track from this album was "Boom Boom Bâ", included in the 2000 U.S. film The Next Best Thing. In 2007, Métissé released their second album Nomah's Land, following Aïda Bredou and Skully's separation in 2005.
