Sara Noxx is the stage name of Britt Rommel, a German singer and musician who was born in 1971 in Luckenwalde. She began a professional career in 1997 after winning the band contest for the magazine Zillo. She is famous for a musical style characterized by darkwave and electro-industrial elements paired with melodic Sprechgesang. Her debut studio album, Noxxious, was released in 1997 and featured the single “Society”. She followed this with the recordings Paradoxx (1998) and Exxtasy (2001), the latter reaching number 9 on the German Alternative Charts. Noxx has collaborated with numerous artists, including Project Pitchfork on the single “Earth Song” (2008) and Mark Benecke on cover versions of “Where the Wild Roses Grow” (2011) and “Jeanny” (2016). Her 2015 studio album, Entre Quatre Yeuxx, achieved the highest ever score in the history of the German Alternative Charts. In 2025, she founded Epixx Studios.
