Nova Generatsia, a Bulgarian cold wave and new wave band, was founded in 1987 by Dimitar Voev. Throughout the late 1980s and early 1990s, Nova Generatsia released notable albums including BG Rock I (1989), Forever (1991), and Otvud Smurtta (1992). The band achieved cult status during Voev's lifetime and particularly after his death in 1992 at the age of 27. Their debut album Vhod B, prepared around 1987, was officially released in 1995. Following Voev's passing, his younger brother Simeon Voev took over vocal duties and continued the band's legacy with posthumous compilation releases like Zavinagi '98 (1998). Nova Generatsia also performed in front of 40,000 people in Sofia in 2006, opening for Depeche Mode.
