Faryl Smith, born on July 23, 1995, in Kettering, Northamptonshire, is a British soprano singer. She gained recognition after appearing on the second series of Britain's Got Talent in 2008, performing "Ave Maria" and signing a £2.3 million contract with Universal Classics and Jazz. Her debut album, Faryl, released in March 2009, became the fastest-selling solo classical album in British chart history, selling 20,000 copies in the first four days. In 2010, Smith was nominated for two Classical BRIT Awards, becoming the youngest artist ever to receive a double nomination. Her second album, Wonderland, was released in November 2009. She has performed at significant events, including the 2009 Royal Variety Performance and major sporting events. In 2015, she began studying music at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London.
