Meanstreak, an American all-female heavy metal band from Rockland, New York, was founded in 1985 by guitarists Marlene Apuzzo and Rena Sands. The original lineup included Bettina France on vocals, Lisa Pace on bass, and Diane Keyser on drums. Meanstreak gained early recognition as one of the first all-female thrash metal bands. Their debut album Roadkill was released in October 1988. Keyser left shortly after recording Roadkill and was replaced by Yael Rallis. In 1989, they released the demos, The Other Side, followed by The Dark Gift in 1992. The band reunited in 2023 as the opening act for John Petrucci's solo tour. In January 2024, they announced a new EP, Blood Moon, released on February 2, 2024.
