Ken Zazpi, a pop-rock band from Guernica and Luno, Vizcaya, Spain, was formed in 1996 by Jon Mikel Arronategi and Eñaut Elorrieta. The duo initially released the track "Bi eta bat" (1996) on the compilation Aurtengo Gorakada by Gor Discos. In 2000, Ken Zazpi began their professional music career with a self-produced demo recorded in Múgica, Vizcaya. Their debut album, Atzo da bihar, was released in 2001 and featured the hit single "Zenbat min". The group's second studio album, Bidean (2003), showcased a more rock-oriented sound. In 2005, they released an acoustic album, Gelditu denbora, which included versions in Catalan for the local market. Ken Zazpi changed labels to Oihuka in 2007 and released Argiak. The group's live performance at the Teatro Victoria Eugenia in San Sebastián was recorded and released as Zazpi urte zuzenean (2009). Their sixth studio album, Ortzemugak begietan, was released in 2010.
