UBBA, a Swedish thrash punk band, was formed during Easter 1999 by Mart Hällgren and David Stark. The duo, previously members of Sunday Morning Einsteins, sought to create a new band focused on thrash punk. They recruited Puttra and Marja as lead and second guitarists respectively, initially performing under the name For the Family. Later renamed UBBA, meaning "Without B, Just A," the band released their first EP 1972 in 1999. Their debut album, The U-Generation, was released in 2000 and was a parody of A-Teens' debut album The ABBA Generation. By the end of 2000, Viktor Lindström joined the band replacing Marja. In 2002, they released their second studio album Slag under bältet. Around 2003, UBBA ceased to play actively.
