Hujässler, a Swiss folk music group, was formed in 1998 by Dani Häusler and Markus Flückiger. They were joined by Reto Kamer and Sepp Huber. Their debut performance took place at the Hotel Alpenland in Lauenen, canton of Bern, where they played traditional Ländler pieces and began incorporating their own compositions, defining the genre of Neue Volksmusik in Switzerland. Hujässler released their debut album Hochprozäntix in 1998. In 2002, they released the albums Gränzgänger and Verruckti Cheibe. In 2015, they released HujART. In 2011, Häusler and Flückiger were honored with the Central Swiss Culture Prize. The group also contributed to film soundtracks, including Wätterschmöcker (2010) and Der Fürsorger (2009).
