Räfven, a Swedish gypsy punk band from Gothenburg, was formed in 2003 as a street music group in connection with the demonstrations against the Iraq War. The band's music is influenced by Eastern European folk and klezmer traditions. Their debut album I Folkhemmet was released in 2005, followed by Live! in 2007 and Next Time We Take Your Instruments in 2008. Räfven performed at notable festivals including the Glastonbury Festival in 2008 and 2010, and the Fuji Rock Festival in 2009. They were also featured in the documentary Räfven – The band who had a manifesto which premiered at the 31st Göteborg International Film Festival in January 2008.
