Hurtmold, a Brazilian rock band from São Paulo, was formed in 1998 by Maurício Takara, Guilherme Granado, Marcos Gerez, Mário Cappi, and Fernando Cappi. In 2003, Rogério Martins joined the percussion and clarinet. The band released several albums, including Et Cetera (2000), Cozido (2002), Mestro (2004), and their self-titled album in 2007. The group performed at the Planeta Terra festival in São Paulo in November 2010. In 2016, their album Curado, recorded with Paulo Santos (ex-Uakti), was named the 15th best Brazilian album of the year by Rolling Stone Brasil. Hurtmold was recognized as the 35th best rock band in Brazil by the Russian portal Ultimate Guitar in 2019.
