Conrad von der Goltz, born Georg-Conrad Graf von der Goltz on June 18, 1928 in Berlin, was a German violinist. He began his musical education in Berlin and Salzburg during World War II. After the war, he played with the Städtisches Orchester Detmold at age 17. Von der Goltz studied under Tibor Varga in Hamburg and Detmold, and participated in masterclasses led by Max Rostal and Wolfgang Schneiderhan. He served as concertmaster in Göttingen before winning the ARD-Wettbewerb Duo prize in 1956. Following this, he held positions with the Philharmonisches Orchester Oslo and the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Bremen. In 1963, von der Goltz became a professor at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg. He was part of ensembles such as the Brahms-Trio and the Deutsch-englisches Mozart-Ensemble. He passed away on November 21, 2023 in Regensburg.
