Ian Wright, known professionally as DJ Plague, and born on January 15, 1979, in Toronto, Ontario, is a producer and disc jockey. He began his music career in 1996 by mixing techno hardcore tracks after being inspired by performances from DJ Dominik. This led to a shift towards speedcore, influenced by labels like Shockwave and Area 51. In 2001, Wright co-founded the Canadian Speedcore Resistance (CSR) label with disc jockey Interrupt Vector. The label gained traction through events organized in Montreal and the creation of the website speedcore.ca. DJ Plague's performances often featured a distinctive mask or cagoule, enhancing his stage persona. He released notable albums such as Tokyo Terror!!! (2010) and Oldschool Terror (Classic CSR Tracks Remastered!) (2019).
