Georgia Ruth Williams, also known as Georgia Ruth, born on January 5, 1988, in Llantwit Major, South Wales, is a Welsh singer-songwriter and harpist. She began learning the harp at age seven and started performing her own music while studying English Literature at the University of Cambridge. Her early recordings gained attention from BBC Radio Wales, leading to an appearance at the 2008 Glastonbury Festival through BBC Introducing. Williams released her first EP, In Luna, in 2011, followed by her debut album, Week of Pines, in 2012. The latter was produced by David Wrench and won the 2013 Welsh Music Prize. Williams's second album, Fossil Scale, was released in 2016. She has performed at various festivals, including Green Man, Latitude, and Festival N°6, and collaborated with artists such as Manic Street Preachers. In 2024, she released her fourth album, Cool Head.
