A Love Like Pi was an American electronic rock band from Brooklyn, New York City, formed in 2006. The band was founded by vocalist Lief Liebmann and bassist Collin Boyle. Drummer Christopher LoPorto later joined the group after being discovered through the New Jersey music scene. Initially coming together as Blind and Driving, they changed their name to A Love Like Pi and released a self-titled demo EP, A Love Like Pi, on February 17, 2009. Their first full-length album, The Atlas and the Oyster, was released on March 24, 2009. The band gained recognition performing at the Bamboozle 2008 Festival and touring along the east coast. On November 11, 2014, they released the EP Jack and the Giant through Krian Music Group. Their subsequent album, III, was expected to be released on September 18, 2015, featuring a more atmospheric, relaxed, and organic sound. The band toured with various acts, and reviews cited enthusiasm and production as strong points of their performances and recordings.
