Øystein Olaf Sunde, born on January 24, 1947, in Oslo, Norway, is a Norwegian folk singer and guitarist. He started playing guitar after discovering The Shadows' "Apache" in 1960. His first single, "Jaktprat / Super SS Rally GT Fastback Hardtop Sprint", released in 1970, marked his breakthrough. Sunde's early albums included 1001 Fnatt (1970) and Det Året Det Var Så Bratt (1971). Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, he released numerous albums such as Ikke Bare Tyll and Klå, known for his high-speed guitar style and satirical lyrics. He was part of bands like Hitch-Hikers and Gitarkameratene. He received a signature model series from C.F. Martin & Company, becoming the first Scandinavian to do so.
