Köttgrottorna, a Swedish punk band formed in 1983 in the Stockholm suburb of Järfälla by Hans-Peter "Happy" Törnblom and Stefan "Mongo" Enger, had previously played together in the Swedish punk band the Incest Brothers, along with guitarist Thomas "Valen" Wahlström. Their debut single "Pendeltåg / Pengar" was released in 1983, marking their initial foray into the music scene. Köttgrottorna's first album, Blodsdans, followed in 1986, establishing them as a force in Swedish punk rock. The band continued to release albums throughout the late 1980s and 1990s, including Halvdöd (1987), Hungrig (1991), and Sex, politik & fåglar (1993). Notable songs from this period include "Jag Idealist" (1985) and "I Morgon Bitti" (1991). The band's discography includes ten studio albums, eight of which were released on the label Beat Butchers, known for publishing trallpunk records.
