Divinefire, a Christian symphonic metal band, was formed in 2004 by Finnish guitarist Jani Stefanovic and Swedish singer Christian Liljegren. The group emerged when Stefanovic, seeking a record deal for his previous band Renascent, contacted Liljegren, the frontman of Narnia and owner of Rivel Records. Together with bassist Andreas Olsson, they recorded their debut album Glory Thy Name, released in 2005. The same year saw the release of Hero, which included a cover of Queen's "Show Must Go On". Divinefire continued to gain traction with albums like Into A New Dimension (2006) and Farewell (2008), the latter marking their initial disbandment. In 2010, the band reunited with new members, including former Narnia singer Germán Pascual, and released Eye Of The Storm in 2011. Throughout their career, Divinefire was known for their symphonic metal sound infused with melodic death elements, and their lyrics were exclusively focused on Christian themes.
