Christian Kleine, born on December 8, 1974, in Lindau, Germany, is a musician, DJ, and sound designer. He started his musical journey with classical trumpet training at age 10, later learning bass guitar and drums. Influenced by New Wave and Post-Punk, he transitioned to electronic music and began DJing at 17. In 1995, Kleine moved to Berlin and met Radio DJ Thaddeus Herrmann, forming the project Hermann & Kleine. Their collaboration resulted in two EPs and an album. Kleine's debut solo album, Beyond Repair, was released in 2001 on City Center Offices. He also co-produced Arovane’s second album, Tides. In 2001, Kleine began working at Ableton, focusing on content development since 2011. After a hiatus, he resumed releasing albums digitally from 2010 onwards, including notable works like Electronic Music From The Lost World: 1998–2001 in 2018 and Environmental Cure in 2023.
