Aristides Seisanas, known professionally as Aris San, was born on January 19, 1940, in Kalamata, Greece. At 17, he moved to Israel and began his music career at the Arianna nightclub in Yafo, where his unique style of playing electric guitar like a bouzouki helped popularize Greek and Mizrahi music. Aris San gained prominence with songs such as "Sigal" and "Boom Pam". After leaving Israel, Aris San settled in New York City, where he opened the nightclub Sirocco. He moved to Budapest and later died on July 25, 1992, after being hospitalized following a heart attack.
