Deep Blue, born Sean O'Keeffe in the United Kingdom, emerged as a British musician who first entered the music scene in 1991 with the hardcore group 2 Bad Mice, co‑writing the track "Bombscare". In 1993 he adopted the alias Deep Blue and released "Helicopter Tune", which appeared in the 2005 games Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and Midnight Club 3: Dub Edition and reached number sixty‑eight on the UK Singles Chart that April. The following year, Deep Blue left Moving Shadow to co‑found Partisan Recordings. In 2003 he collaborated with Rob Haigh, known as Omni Trio, under the pseudonym Black Rain to produce an album on their new label Scale. In 2005 Deep Blue issued his first solo album for Partisan Recordings, Metropolitan Chic. Throughout his career he maintained a steady presence in the rock and electronic scenes, with his work featured in popular video games and charting within the UK.
