Carol Connors, born Annette Kleinbard on November 13, 1941, in New Brunswick, New Jersey, is an American singer-songwriter. She began her career as the lead vocalist of the Teddy Bears, a pop vocal trio that included Phil Spector. Their breakthrough single "To Know Him Is to Love Him" (1958) reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. After the group disbanded, she legally changed her name and pursued her career as a songwriter. She co-wrote "Gonna Fly Now" (1976), the theme song for the film Rocky, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best Original Song. Connors also contributed to several film soundtracks, including Walt Disney's The Rescuers (1977), and wrote notable songs like "My Love, We Are One" from Orca (1977). Her work spanned various collaborations, including co-writing hits with Ayn Robbins and Bill Conti. Other notable songwriting credits include "Hey Little Cobra" (1964) and "With You I'm Born Again" (1980). Connors' contributions to music were recognized with a Golden Palm Star on the Palm Springs Walk of Stars in 1999.
