Monica Silverstrand, born on January 4, 1960, in Sweden, is a Swedish country singer. Early in her career, she was part of the band Wizex and participated as a backing vocalist with the group Chips during Melodifestivalen 1980. Silverstrand's solo debut came in 1993 when she competed in Melodifestivalen with "Vågornas sång" ("The Song of the Waves"), achieving fifth place. She returned to the competition in 1995 alongside Tina Leijonberg with the song "Himmel På Vår Jord" ("Paradise on Our Earth"). Throughout her career, Silverstrand has also taken on leading roles and collaborations in various musicals, including FAME, Kristina Från Duvemåla, Guldhatten, and Sol, Vind Och Vatten. In 2005, she released her album Been There, Done That.
