Onome Onokohwomo, known as Yung6ix, and born on July 8, 1989, in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria, is a rapper. He formed the hip-hop group G-Squad during high school and moved to Lagos to pursue a music career. Signed by 411 Entertainment Company in 2009 after releasing "I'm an African", his cover of "Oleku" went viral in 2010. In 2011, he released the mixtape Green Light Green, featuring "Oh My Gosh". Yung6ix collaborated with Wizkid on "Follow Me" (2014) and released his debut album 6ix O’Clock in 2014, which included guest appearances from Phyno, M.I., Ice Prince, Yemi Alade, and others. In 2019, he became the first Ambassador for Patricia, a leading e-commerce firm in West Africa.
