On Deck is the stage name of Richard Wette, a house DJ, producer, and record label owner who, in addition to his solo career, has released music with projects like Frenzy and B!TCH BE COOL. Raised in Charlotte, North Carolina, he moved to Los Angeles during the 2010s, where he earned a nomination at the DMC World DJ Championships in 2016. One year later, he formed B!TCH BE COOL with another Charlotte native, DOMii. B!TCH BE COOL's biggest success was a remix of Billie Eilish's "Bad Guy," which became a hit on SiriusXM radio stations like Diplo's Revolution and BPM in 2019. That same year, Wette released On Deck's debut single, "Just a Groove," which showcased a club-friendly rooted in pulsing drumbeats, synth pads, buzzing sound effects, and driving bass lines. Before the year was up, Wette also released Shit From The Vault, a compilation album featuring songs credited to On Deck, B!TCH BE COOL, and DOMii. Collaborations with Tommie Sunshine, Jake Nelson, and skemaddox followed. Rather than releasing a string of albums, On Deck released singles instead, including 2020's "Audio Foreplay," 2020's "Title Unavailable," 2021's "System Failure," and 2021's "Wavs." Several of those songs were compiled onto an EP, Dust, which arrived during the second half of 2021. During the next two years, On Deck released remixes of Alex Amaro's "Hope," Kue's "New Jack Swing," GARZA's "Cherry Crush," and John Roberts' "Take Me Dancin'," as well as original singles like "Be Alright," "Ready Or Not," and "Ready To Go."
