Kubb, a British alternative rock band from London, formed in 2005 when singer Harry Collier was invited by Rollo Armstrong to record at his studio. At the studio, Collier met Ben Langmaid and Jeff Patterson, with whom he began writing songs that would become Kubb's debut album, Mother. The trio brought in additional members including Dom Greensmith on drums, John Tilley on keyboards, and Adj Buffone on guitar before signing with Mercury Records. Their first single, "Somebody Else", was released in 2005, followed by "Remain", then "Wicked Soul", which was featured in a Rimmel cosmetics advert and contributed to Mother's chart success as it peaked at number 26 on the UK Albums Chart and was certified gold. Their fourth single, "Grow", reached number 18 on the UK Singles Chart. The band headlined several tours in the UK including two shows at Shepherd’s Bush Empire and made notable television appearances on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross and Jools Holland's Later.... Kubb also performed at festivals such as V Festival and Isle of Wight Festival before disbanding in 2006, their official website last updated that year.
