Marc Brierley is an English singer-songwriter. In 1965, encouraged by Bert Jansch, he became a regular performer at Les Cousins folk club in London, appearing alongside artists such as John Renbourn and Sandy Denny. Brierley’s first release was the EP Marc Brierley in 1966. Between 1968 and 1969, he released two albums, Welcome To The Citadel and Hello, the latter produced by Ashley Kozak. Notable singles from these recordings include “Hold On, Hold On” and “Lady Of The Light.” From 1970 to 1973, he performed live throughout the UK with guitarist Steve Cross, including a tour supporting Fairport Convention. Brierley ceased professional musical activity at the end of 1973, and his original vinyl recordings later became highly collectible. In 2005, Sanctuary Records released Autograph Of Time, a double CD set featuring digitally remastered versions of all his recordings from 1966 to 1970.
