Giancarlo Chiaramello, born February 18, 1939 in Bra, Piedmont, Italy, is an Italian composer, conductor, and musical arranger. He graduated from the Turin Conservatory in 1958, where he studied piano, composition, and vocal polyphony, and went on to win the Francesco Ballo Prize in 1960 and the Ranieri Prize of Monaco in 1962. During the 1960s and 1970s, he worked as an arranger for pop and rock artists and composed scores for numerous theatrical productions, as well as music for television series and films. His work on Orlando Furioso (1975) earned him the Silver Ribbon for Best Film Score. He also released albums such as Popoperaconcerto (1976), and Naples' Pop Dimensions (1978).
