AK-47 (formed 2004, in Beriozovski) is a Russian hip-hop ensemble named after the Kalashnikov assault rifle. The group consisted of Viktor Gostyukhin (known as Vitya AK) and Maxim Sergeevich Brylin (known as Maxi AK). The recording career began with the debut album Berezovskiy (2009), followed by MegaPolice (2010). In 2010, the ensemble won the Russia Street Awards for Discovery of the Year. Between 2010 and 2012, Gostyukhin released several solo albums, including Two in One and Fat. The group returned with the studio recording Third (2015). In 2016, AK-47 collaborated with the ensemble Triagrutrika on the live album TGK/AK-47. The ensemble left the Gazgolder label in 2016 following the expiration of its contract. The later discography featured the studio albums Nouveau (2017) and ACTGK (2022). Gostyukhin appeared in the 2019 short film Last Quest.
