Marianne Beate Kielland is a Norwegian mezzo-soprano who was born in 1975. She graduated from the Norwegian State Academy of Music in 2000 and performed with major orchestras and at festivals across Norway. Her international engagements took place in countries including Germany, Austria, and France. Between 2001 and 2002, she was a member of the ensemble at the Staatstheater in Hannover. Kielland worked with conductors including Philippe Herreweghe, Daniel Reuss, and Andreas Spering. Her discography includes the recordings J.S. Bach: Markuspasjonen (2003), Alf Hurum: Fandango - Complete Songs with Piano (2003), and Veslemøy synsk (2011). She received the Nordlysprisen in 2009.
