Robertas Šervenikas is a Lithuanian conductor and academic born in 1966. He graduated from the Saint Petersburg Conservatory in 1995, where he studied under T. Chitrova and V. Fedotov. Šervenikas began his professional association with the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra in 1993 and later served as its second conductor. In 1997, he performed at the Evian Festival in France, where he conducted the Philharmonie der Nationen and the Orchestra Synfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi featuring soloist Mstislav Rostropovich. Šervenikas led the Lithuanian National Symphony Orchestra on international tours to countries including Germany, the Netherlands, and Sweden. He served as a guest conductor for the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra and the Bavarian State Orchestra. In 2008, he was appointed Music Director of the Lithuanian National Theatre for Opera and Ballet. Šervenikas taught at the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre and received the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Art.
