Morten Schuldt-Jensen, born in 1958 in Skærbæk, Denmark, is a classical conductor and professor for choir and orchestral conducting. He studied singing, vocal training, and conducting at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and earned a Master's degree in musicology from the University of Copenhagen. Schuldt-Jensen worked with various Danish choirs and orchestras, and served as a guest conductor for German and European ensembles like the RIAS Kammerchor and MDR Rundfunkchor. He collaborated as choir master with notable conductors such as Simon Rattle and Colin Davis, performing with orchestras like the Berlin Philharmonic. He served as Chief Director of the Choral Department at the Gewandhaus in Leipzig from 1999 to 2007. He founded the Gewandhaus Chamber Choir in 2001, which became known as the Immortal Bach Ensemble. Schuldt-Jensen has released recordings with labels such as Naxos and dacapo, featuring masses and choral works by Schubert, Mozart, and Scarlatti. His albums include Requiem (2005), Masses nos. 1 and 3 (2010), and Symphonies nos. 6, 10 and 20 (2011).
