Fabrizio Poggi, born on July 1, 1958 in Italy, is a singer-songwriter and harmonica player. His career began with recordings in Texas in notably Heroes & Friends (1997) and Nuther World (1999). Between 1998 and 2002, he toured extensively in Texas and Louisiana. In 2006, Poggi performed at the Center for Southern Folklore in Memphis. His album Spirit & Freedom, released in 2010, featured collaborations with artists like the Blind Boys of Alabama and Flaco Jimenez. This was followed by Live in Texas in 2011. Fabrizio Poggi has received nominations for the Grammy Awards and Blues Music Awards, notably in 2017 for Best Traditional Blues Album of the Year, and has also been a recipient of the Hohner Lifetime Award.
