Neuroactive is a Finnish electronic music band formed in 1991 in Finland. The group was established by Jarkko Tuohimaa, Ville Brusi, and Vesa Rainne. Their debut album, Morphology (1994), was followed by the recording Phonic Trace (1997). Following the departure of Brusi and Rainne, the vocalist Kimmo Karjalainen joined the ensemble. Their album Fiber-Optic Rhythm (1999) reached number 16 on the CMJ RPM charts in the United States and featured guest vocals by Geoff Pickney. The band signed with A Different Drum and released the recordings Transients (2001) and N-Gin (2005). The group became inactive in 2014 before resuming activity in 2020 with the single “Night Flights” (2020). Their discography includes the albums Antidote (2009), Electra (2014), and Minor Side-Effects (2020).
