Arnaud Méthivier, born on April 6, 1971, in Orléans, France, is a French accordionist who began playing at age seven under his father's guidance. By ten, he performed with La Châtaigne at local musette dances. Méthivier joined Les Petits Prodiges de l'accordéon in 1987, directed by Maurice Larcange, which gained significant popularity and allowed him to earn a living from music by age fifteen. In the late 1980s, he collaborated with Marcel Kanche, leading to involvement with artists like Kent, Stephan Eicher, and Les Innocents, helping revive the accordion's prominence in the 1990s. Méthivier later worked as a session musician for notable figures such as Boy George, Georges Moustaki, and Francis Cabrel. In 2000, he collaborated with Austrian accordionist Otto Lechner under the name Arnotto, releasing albums like L'autre côté du vent (2004) and Arnottodrom (2007).
