Drowningman, a metalcore/hardcore band from Burlington, Vermont, was active between 1995 and 2002. They released their debut EP Weighted And Weighed Down in 1997 through Hydra Head Records and later signed with Revelation Records, releasing the EP How They Light Cigarettes In Prison in 2000. Their album Rock And Roll Killing Machine was well-received, earning a 10/10 review from Terrorizer magazine. The band toured extensively before disbanding in 2002 following contract disputes. Denny Donovan and Simon Brody revived Drowningman briefly in 2004, releasing Don't Push Us When We're Hot, in 2005.
