Logic & Olivia, originally known as Darkcore, was formed on October 1, 1999 in Aue-Schwarzenberg, Germany, consisting of René Anke (vocals), Matthias Trompelt (keyboards), and Tino Weigel (electric guitar). They initially gained traction with their synthpop melodies and EBM rhythms, releasing their debut album Negativ in 2000. After several releases under the Darkcore name, including Liebe und Tod (2002) and Timebreaker (2003), the group took a hiatus before reemerging as Logic & Olivia in 2012 with the album Playground of the Past (2012). The band's lineup evolved over time, with Kalle Vogel joining as a drummer in 2014. Notable albums under their new name include Don't Look Back (2014), Pink (2016), and Louder than Words (2018).
