Patrick Lindsey is a German electronic musician and DJ who was born in Bad Nauheim, Germany. He achieved professional recognition in the late 1990s after his first recordings were featured on the radio program HR3 Clubnight and is famous for his project Mel’O’Ween and for his collaborations with the musician Monika Kruse. Lindsey shares an early interest in the Frankfurt techno scene with his schoolmate Anthony Rother. His discography includes the recording “MalePhonk” (1998), which appeared on the Harthouse 100 compilation, and the Phat Jive EP (1998). In 2000, he performed a live set on HR3 Clubnight. Under the moniker Mel’O’Ween, he released the successful production “The King”. He has also released material under the name Voodooamt and provided remixes for artists including Hardfloor and DJ Rush. Lindsey met Kruse at the 1996 Swiss Street Parade, leading to the collaborative studio recordings Panorama (2001) and Passengers (2003) on her label Terminal M. He established the labels School Records, Trackland, and Funkwelle.
